Index, Census of Ontario. The Ontario Genealogical Society prepared an index for the census of the province: Elliott, Bruce S., ed. Index to the Census of Ontario. 30 Volumes. While this was the first national census of Canada, only four provinces existed at the time: Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
